Pursuing a degree after high school is a common option millions undertake each year. Whether it’s a bachelor’s degree right after high school or a graduate degree later in life, there are many different options—and costs to go with them. It could get complicated, so we want to help our members as much as we can.
Education has always been important to the Vantage community. After all, we were founded back in 1957 by a group of educators. To help those who want to continue their educational pursuits, we offer a variety of resources to help with the process of searching and funding a higher education.
Quest For Education Scholarship
Our annual Quest For Education scholarship program is a way for graduating high school seniors to get a little extra boost to help with college costs. Financial need, class rank, SAT/ACT score and grade point average aren’t criterion for the scholarship. Instead, the demonstration of outstanding character, motivation, leadership, and community/school involvement are key. Any 2019 graduating senior with an account in good standing is eligible to apply for this year’s scholarship by January 11, 2019.
To get the most money from scholarships, it’s best to cast a wide net and consider all your options. We offer access to an online Scholarship Finder where you can search a database of over 3.5 million scholarships worth more than $18 billion! Simply fill out your student profile, and list your interests, majors and activities. Then provide a bit about your academics, and the Scholarship Finder will provide information about opportunities you may qualify for.
Student Loans from Sallie Mae
Whether you’re an undergraduate, graduate student, or parent, Sallie Mae ® could help you get money for school. Vantage has partnered with Sallie Mae to provide many different higher education loan options. * The loans all have competitive interest rates with multiple repayment options.
College Cost & Compare Calculator
More important than scholarships and funding is your choice of institution! There’s no better way to compare your frontrunners than to use our College Cost & Compare Calculator. Simply enter your household income, state and schools you’re interested in, and the tool will show you a comparison of what you could expect to pay to attend your selected institution. It can even give you a rough idea of how much you could receive in financial aid!
No matter which step of the higher education path you’re on, we have tools to help you achieve your goals. Best of luck in your educational endeavors!
* These loans are made by Sallie Mae Bank or a lender partner. Vantage Credit Union is not the creditor for these loans and is compensated by Sallie Mae for the referral of loan customers.
