How can I request a Vantage debit card?

I’ve forgotten my debit card PIN. Can I get a new PIN?

Yes. For your convenience, you can now change your debit card PIN by phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You’ll need your sixteen-digit card number, the last four digits of your Social Security Number, the three-digit security code next to the signature panel on the back of your card, and the four-digit expiration date on the front of the card. Simply call 866.985.2273 and follow the prompts.

What do I do if I lose my debit card, or it gets stolen?

Let us know right away by calling us at 314.298.0055 or 800.522.6009 during business hours. You can also report a lost/stolen card after business hours or on weekend/holidays by calling 866.820.8792.

Is there a fee to replace a Vantage debit card?

Yes for a lost or damaged card it’s $10.00. There’s no fee for a card you’ve had stolen.

I’m interested in getting a debit card, but I’m hesitant because I’ve heard that if I lose my card, or if it’s stolen, I’ll be responsible for all charges and my checking account could be drained entirely. Is this true?

Not necessarily. As long as you report that your debit card was lost or stolen within 48 hours, you’re only responsible for the first $50. The same loss rules apply as a Vantage credit card. However, it’s important that you immediately report your debit card was lost or stolen so you aren’t responsible for more than $50. If you fail to report a card loss or theft in a timely manner, it could result in a higher dollar responsibility for you.

How long will it take to receive my new debit card?

Seven to 10 business days.

Is there a maximum transaction limit per day?

Debit card transaction limits depend on your account available funds and system parameters. You can always contact us ahead of time to make sure your transaction limit will accommodate a large transaction you anticipate.

Can I get cash with my debit card?

Yes! You can use your Vantage debit card at ATMs worldwide to get cash. You can also get cash back at many merchants and stores by using the card as a point-of-sale (POS) transaction (by entering your PIN when you’re completing your purchase).

How can I pay for purchases with my debit card?

You can pay for goods and services anywhere major credit cards are accepted. Simply present your card to the cashier and they’ll run the transaction for you. Depending on the store or the merchant, they may ask you to choose “debit or credit.” If you’re asked this question, it would be best to choose “credit” as it costs your credit union less money to run transactions that way. Once the transaction is run, you’ll simply sign a receipt just like you would with a credit card, except rest assured the dollar amount is deducted from your Vantage checking account just as a check would.

What does the Vantage debit card cost?

Nothing! There’s no charge to get your Vantage debit card, and there is no annual fee.

Can I access my Regular Savings Account with my debit card?

Yes.

I’ve thought about getting a debit card but I’m concerned about not keeping track of all the receipts. Is there any easy way to keep track of my transactions?

Yes. You can track every transaction you make by logging into the eBranch. There you’ll see your pending and cleared transactions. Your transactions are also itemized on your monthly statement, which you can also access when you log into the eBranch.
