What is Microsoft Wallet?
Microsoft wallet lets you pay for your purchases with just a tap of your Windows phone. You can make payments at participating restaurants and retail locations, access loyalty and membership cards and view saved event tickets. You’ll get added security and easier savings and rewards—and the convenience of leaving your credit, debit and loyalty cards at home.
How do I make my Vantage card(s) my default card?
After you’ve added your Vantage card(s) to Microsoft Wallet, it’s easy to make it your default payment option. If your Vantage card is the first card added, it automatically becomes the default. If another card is your current default, simply open the app, select your Vantage card and ‘set as my tap to pay card’.
The image displayed for my Vantage card(s) does not look like my actual card. Why?
The payment card displayed in Microsoft Wallet may not match your physical card. In those instances, Microsoft Wallet will use a graphical representation of your card.
You can determine your card is accurate by verifying the following information matches your physical card:
• The card network (i.e., Mastercard®)
• The card issuer (i.e., Vantage Credit Union)
• The last four digits of your physical card number
What if I lose my Vantage credit or debit card(s)?
If you lose your credit card or debit card, you should immediately inform Vantage so we can cancel it and send you a replacement card.
Call 314.298.0055 or 800.522.6009 during business hours.
For a lost credit card after business hours, call 800.449.7728
For a lost debit card after business hours, call 866.820.8792
You will no longer be able to use the lost card in Microsoft Wallet after the card is canceled. After you receive your replacement card, add your new card into Microsoft Wallet.
What if I have a problem enrolling my card in Microsoft Wallet?
If you’re experiencing issues during the verification process when adding a payment card, ensure you’re entering all the required information correctly. If you’re unable to verify your Vantage card in Microsoft Wallet, please contact Card Services at 314.298.0055 or 800.522.6009 during normal business hours. After business hours, call 855.553.4291.
Is Microsoft Wallet safe to use?
Yes. Using your Microsoft Wallet app means extra security, every time. When you tap to pay, Microsoft Wallet sends a single-use transaction number and an encrypted security code that won’t work for any other purchase, person or device. This, plus the device PIN you use to unlock your phone makes paying with Microsoft Wallet more secure than using the actual card alone.
How do I keep track of purchases I’ve made with Microsoft Wallet?
You’ll find a list of recent purchases in your card’s details screen.
To see the details for your Microsoft Wallet purchases:
1. Open the Microsoft Wallet app
2. Go to the Cards section and select the card you used
3. Choose Transaction History
Keep in mind that you’ll still have to show your receipt from the merchant if you ever need proof of purchase; so make sure you keep it for your records.
What should I do if my device is lost or stolen?
Others can’t pay using your Microsoft Wallet—even if they have your phone—because your card numbers aren’t stored on it and they don’t have your device PIN. Plus, you get extra peace of mind since you can show your lost phone on a map, lock it, or erase it remotely.
