Correspondence Authentication Codes

You may not think about it often, but you have to admit…every once in a while you wonder, maybe even worry, about the security of your personal information when conducting business online or via email. Is it safe? Am I protected? Will my information fall into the wrong hands? All legitimate concerns.

That’s why Vantage Credit Union uses Correspondence Authentication Codes to offer real peace-of-mind. It’s a big name for something quite simple. This is your personal set of security codes. You’ll find them on things like automated emails originated from Vantage Credit Union, like when you submit a request or have a new eStatement or secure message waiting for you when you log back into your account. These codes are proof that the communication you receive is really from Vantage and not some unknown, untrusted source.

Where can you find your Correspondence Authentication Codes?

Go to the Profile & Security menu item on your dashboard when you log into your account and click on the “Security” link. Scroll down to the Change Daily Correspondence Authentication Code section, where you’ll see a different code for each day of the week, Sunday through Saturday. You may choose to keep the system-generated codes or change the codes at any time to make them more recognizable to you.
