Your information security is our priority

One of Vantage Credit Union’s most important responsibilities to members is ensuring the security surrounding their financial information. This security involves protecting the availability, confidentiality and integrity of all Vantage accounts. We take this job very seriously as it can have far-reaching implications concerning the lives of our members.

To control risk, we closely monitor security with the latest in testing, auditing and reporting technology as well as assess policies, procedures and member information systems on a timely, ongoing basis. We have a number of programs in place that offer a high level of protection, including redundant critical systems, state-of-the-art intrusion detection and monitoring systems. Plus, we work with the best and brightest partners to help us ensure we stay on top of the latest trends, technologies and services.

In addition, it’s also our priority to educate our members of the information security risks posed by people or entities not at all affiliated with the credit union. These people or entities are out to trick you into divulging account information for fraudulent purposes. That’s why we can’t stress this point enough:

Identity theft, phishing scams, telephone scams, lottery scams and internet scams (including bogus job offers and secret shoppers) continue to grow. Please know that Vantage will NEVER solicit your credit union account numbers(s), credit or debit card numbers(s), personal identification number (PIN), Social Security Number, etc. via phone, email or text message.

The only time we’ll contact you about these items is if YOU initiate contact with us and we need to follow up requesting additional information for requests YOU initiate.

If you receive a phone call, text message or email requesting this information without your initiation, please DO NOT give it out! Rather, call us to report the incident and ensure your account remains secure.

Learn more from the Federal Trade Commission on the subject of identity theft and fraud, including what it is, how to deter it, how to recover from it and tools for ID theft victims.

If you ever have any questions regarding the security of your information, don’t hesitate to give us a call. We want you to have peace-of-mind when it comes to your information with Vantage Credit Union.
