Home Insurance
How well is your investment protected?
While protecting the rental dwelling itself is critical, you may also want coverage for other structures, including a garage or shed, and any personal property you provide for your tenant's use, such as household furnishings and appliances.
Aside from the practical, one of the biggest risks landlords face is the liability for losses that occur on their rental property. Landlord protection liability insurance can provide you the peace of mind and security you need by protecting you and your
spouse or domestic partner against claims of personal injury, wrongful eviction, wrongful entry, and other non-bodily injury claims such as libel and slander.
Coverage by landlord protection liability insurance can include:
- Fire/smoke damage
- Lightning strikes, windstorms, hail
- Theft/vandalism
- Damage caused by the weight of snow or ice
- Falling objects
Ensure your condo coverage meets your needs
Low maintenance living has many perks! Your condo association will cover the outside physical building structure, common areas, and the unit owners' collective liability. However, that policy may not cover damage to your personal belongings or property
within your unit caused by vandalism, theft or fire. Nor does it cover your personal liability in the event of a lawsuit.
If common areas of the property are damaged, your condo association could levy assessments against all the owners to pay the deductible on their master association policy. Be sure to consult your condo agreement to determine what their policy covers—any gaps could be your responsibility.
Standard and optional condo insurance coverage can include:
- Personal property
- Loss of use
- Personal liability
- Customization/upgrades
- Medical payments
- Water backup

Work with the best independent insurance agency in the Greater St. Louis area!
Unlike a captive or direct insurance company that only offers their own proprietary products, CUIA (Credit Union Insurance Agency) is 100% independent of any one company. Many insurance consumers don’t fully understand just how important that really is.
Insurance is important, and it’s imperative to work with insurance professionals who have an in-depth knowledge of multiple insurance products, companies, and guidelines—not just one. At the end of the day, what separates one agent from another is their ability to proactively serve their policy holders, and their knowledge of the insurance industry, products, and different situations that may present themselves to their clients.
Serving members locally in St. Louis, St. Charles, and surrounding counties.
The Credit Union Insurance Agency, LLC (‘CUIA’) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Members Resource LLC, a Credit Union Service Organization, a wholly owned subsidiary of Vantage Credit Union (‘VCU’).
