Vantage Credit Union: Commitment to Information Security

One of Vantage Credit Union’s most important responsibilities to our members is ensuring the security of their financial information. This includes protecting the availability, confidentiality, and integrity of all member accounts. We take this responsibility seriously, as it has far-reaching implications for the lives and financial well-being of our members.

To control risk, we closely monitor our security posture using the latest in testing, auditing, and reporting technologies. We regularly assess our policies, procedures, and member information systems to ensure they meet or exceed industry standards. Our security program includes:

  • Redundant critical systems
  • State-of-the-art intrusion detection and monitoring
  • Ongoing risk assessments and internal audits
  • Annual reviews and updates to our information security program

We also work with top-tier partners to stay ahead of emerging threats and evolving technologies.

Regulatory Compliance
Vantage Credit Union’s information security practices are designed to align with applicable federal and state regulations and industry frameworks. These include federal laws and guidelines focused on financial data protection, privacy, and cybersecurity, as well as state-level consumer protection and data security requirements, such as those overseen by the Missouri Division of Credit Unions. Our program is structured to meet these standards while promoting robust risk management and incident response.

Member Education and Protection
It’s also our priority to educate members about information security risks posed by individuals or entities not affiliated with the credit union. These actors may attempt to trick you into divulging sensitive account information for fraudulent purposes.

Identity theft, phishing scams, telephone scams, lottery scams, and internet scams (including bogus job offers and secret shopper schemes) continue to grow. Please remember:

  • Vantage Credit Union will NEVER solicit your account number(s), card number(s), PIN, Social Security Number, or other sensitive information via phone, email, or text message.
  • We will only request such information if you initiate contact with us, and we need to follow up on your request.
  • If you receive unsolicited communications requesting this information, do not respond. Instead, contact us immediately to report the incident and ensure your account remains secure.
