We take this responsibility seriously, as it has far-reaching implications for the lives and financial well-being of our members.
To control risk, we closely monitor our security posture using the latest in testing, auditing, and reporting technologies. We regularly assess our policies, procedures, and member information systems to ensure they meet or exceed industry standards. Our security program includes:
- Redundant critical systems
- State-of-the-art intrusion detection and monitoring
- Ongoing risk assessments and internal audits
- Annual reviews and updates to our information security program
We also work with top-tier partners to stay ahead of emerging threats and evolving technologies.
Regulatory Compliance
Vantage Credit Union’s information security practices are designed to align with applicable federal and state regulations and industry frameworks. These include federal laws and guidelines focused on financial data protection, privacy, and cybersecurity, as well as state-level consumer protection and data security requirements, such as those overseen by the Missouri Division of Credit Unions. Our program is structured to meet these standards while promoting robust risk management and incident response.
Member Education and Protection
It’s also our priority to educate members about information security risks posed by individuals or entities not affiliated with the credit union. These actors may attempt to trick you into divulging sensitive account information for fraudulent purposes.
