From the President & CEO: 2023—A year of changes focused on serving you
As we close the book on another momentous year, let’s reflect on some significant changes we achieved together—all in the name of serving you, our members.

After much anticipation and communication—and tremendous planning and testing by our team—we delivered a new digital banking experience. We strive to stay at the forefront of technology, so we are able to best serve members. By transitioning to a new online and mobile platform, your finances are truly at your fingertips. Some existing features stayed, but many new features were added to optimize the platform’s functionality and enhance the user experience, including the ability to open new accounts and loans from within digital banking. Additionally, this new financial wellness ecosystem provides a variety of budgeting, spending and cash flow tools, as well as an updated credit score. Advanced card alerts and control capabilities, along with integrated travel notices, are other added features. The result—a digital banking experience that supports the financial needs of our members—anytime, anywhere.
Other new changes? Our website—vcu.com. We refreshed and reworked the site's navigation to give you easier access to information about the products and services Vantage has to offer. Our website also offers educational information to support you on your financial journey. Plus, so much more information on events, perks of membership, how we impact our community and more!
With many members looking to purchase a home in 2023, we introduced innovative mortgage lending options. Our first-time home buyer loan options were extremely popular, as well as a variety of adjustable rate mortgage (ARM) terms.
We successfully implemented these changes, and more behind the scenes, with a focus on you. We’re proud of all we’ve accomplished. However, we won’t stay complacent. We continually look for opportunities to improve. And yes, we’re already working on other new and exciting changes for 2024 and the years ahead. As your trusted advisor, we’re honored to address your financial needs now and in the years to come with the best service and enhanced capabilities you've come to expect.
