To become a member, you must be in our field of membership:
- Individual persons or their immediate family members having the common bond of residing or working in any of the following counties or zip codes:
Missouri: Cape Girardeau, Franklin, Jefferson, St. Charles, St. Louis, St. Louis City, or Warren
Missouri: 63627; 63628; 63670 in Ste. Genevieve and St. Francois counties
Illinois: Madison or St. Clair - Individual persons or their immediate family members who 1) currently work for, 2) are retired from, or 3) are associated with (including students and parents who are members of a PTA/PTO) any public or private school, college, university, or other educational institution (including associations, societies, and partnerships with these schools) in the following counties:
Missouri: Crawford, Dent, Franklin, Gasconade, Iron, Jefferson, Lincoln, Maries, Miller, Montgomery, Osage, Phelps, Pulaski, St. Charles, St. Francois, St. Louis, Warren, or Washington
Additional School Districts:
Missouri: Bakersfield R-IV Schools (Ozark County); Centerville R-I Schools (Reynolds County)
Illinois: Jerseyville (Jersey County), Madison (Districts 1, 13, 14, 15 and Region III), Springfield, IL Catholic Diocese Schools (Sangamon County), Southwestern (Jersey County) - Individual persons or their immediate family members who 1) currently work for, or 2) are retired from, the United States Government—including all branches of the US Military
- Individual persons who have an immediate family member who is currently a Member of Vantage Credit Union
Immediate family is defined as spouse, child, sibling, parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew, first cousin, or legal guardian and includes step, in-law, and legally adoptive relationships.
Making a switch from another financial institution?
We’ll help keep it simple! The following steps will guide you through the process of opening your account, changing your direct deposits and automatic payments, and closing your old account. Get ready to experience the credit union difference with Vantage!
Follow our simple switch kit
- Apply for a Vantage Credit Union checking account
Discover the money-saving benefits of our checking accounts and choose the option that’s right for you. Check out our credit card options while you're at it! Open your account online, at a branch or by phone at 314.298.0055 or 800.522.6009. - Stop using your former checking account
Keep a sufficient amount of funds in your former account to cover any outstanding checks and automatic payments associated with that account.
Securely dispose of old checks and any debit or credit cards associated with that account. - Change your direct deposits
Locate your new Vantage account number and our routing number 281081479.
Arrange with your employer to transfer direct deposits to your new checking account.
For individuals receiving Social Security Payments, contact 800.772.1213 to make the switch. - Change your automatic payments
Review all automatic payments from your former account and arrange with merchants/providers to begin using your new Vantage account.
Follow-up with each payee using the toll-free number on your bill two weeks after making the switch. - Close your former account
Confirm all outstanding checks and automatic payments have cleared you former account.
Transfer remaining funds to your new Vantage account and close your former account.
