From the President & CEO: 2021—A Challenging, Yet Extraordinary Year
As we do every spring, we take the opportunity to gather as member-owners for our Annual Meeting. To learn about the credit union’s position, what we’ve achieved the past year and how we’re positioned for the future. And above all, to hear from you, our members.
While 2021 persisted with challenges and extraordinary times brought on by the pandemic, we learned valuable lessons as well. Ones that have carried us through times of uncertainty and changed the way we do business so that your credit union is a solid resource now and into the future.
What resides at the heart of our credit union? Our people and our service. We talk about People Helping People—it truly is our mission. With every interaction you have at the credit union, we want you to experience the trusted advisor relationship and realize the benefit of being part of a member-owned, member-led organization.
Despite the challenges in 2021, what were we able to accomplish in 2021? We worked on improving the member experience. We introduced customized member offers. With a few simple selections in the mobile app or through online banking, members can now take advantage of the loan or offer they need. We broke ground and began construction on a new branch—Progress Point—in St. Charles County, with an opening coming in May of this year. We improved our infrastructure with IT and security enhancements. And we continued the roll out of personal teller machines (PTMs) at our branches.
Do we have more in the works for 2022? Absolutely! We’ll continue building on this momentum with new products and services focused on delivering value to you, our members. Security enhancements, credit card management improvements and new checking account offerings are all on the horizon. We’ll be introducing a new look to the website. We also broke ground on a new Creve Coeur location, with an anticipated opening this Fall, and completed a remodel of our Twin Cities branch.
We’ve positioned your credit union to meet the challenges of an ever-changing environment, focused on bringing value to our members and fortifying the health of the credit union. Whatever the future holds, we will stay focused on meeting your needs and helping you achieve your financial goals. Because as a member-owned, member-led organization, the people and our community are our focus. People Helping People.
