Celebrating 65 Years of Member Successes
Vantage is 65 years young! That’s right, Vantage was founded by educators in 1957. Through the years, we’ve evolved our membership base and service offering, but our commitment to helping members on their financial journeys has remained.
As a not-for-profit financial cooperative, Vantage Credit Union members are also owners. We’re invested in you and want you to experience the credit union difference. When you become a Vantage member, this truly is your credit union.
We believe in educating and empowering members with products and services focused on their financial success. We’re committed to bringing value to our members, meeting their needs and helping them achieve their financial goals.
As we celebrate 65 years of service, there’s no better way to celebrate than sharing member voices on how we’ve impacted their lives and finances. After all, members are at the heart of this credit union — People Helping People.
“As a schoolteacher in the 1970’s, I joined Vantage (formerly Educational Employees Credit Union). Over the years, I’ve turned to Vantage for a home equity loan, credit card, special savings, regular savings and checking. Vantage has been my ‘go-to’ for my financial needs. Congratulations on 65 years of financial service.”
“Most recently Vantage offered me a home equity line-of-credit, which allowed me to pay for some unexpected and expensive home repairs while providing the security of knowing I have resources available in the event of an unexpected crisis. So happy Vantage not only gave me great advice, but everyone was super helpful and made the process easy.”
“I opened my account when I got my first job in high school. Vantage was there with me from the start. I learned how checking and savings worked. When I got my internship, Vantage was there with a car loan to help me purchase my beautiful baby blue Buick Skylark. When I moved my family back to St. Louis to continue my teaching career, there was no doubt where our money would go—Vantage Credit Union. I opened savings accounts for my daughters, and as they’ve grown and gotten jobs, they’ve opened accounts of their own. Overall, we’re a 3rd generation Vantage Credit Union family.”
“I became a member in 2012 when I married my husband. He used Vantage for all his financial needs. When he passed away, Vantage stepped up and helped me make the necessary account changes in a caring and compassionate manner. I continue to turn to Vantage for my financial needs because of their great rates and excellent service!”
“I’ve been a member since 1970, and all my financial services have been through Vantage. I’m now 71 years old and still a loyal member.”
“My wife and I are both public school educators, and we joined because of my parents’ experience with Vantage (formerly Educational Employees Credit Union). Vantage has made navigating our financial journey easier for us. From simple checking accounts and loans to investments through Vantage Investment Services Group, being a member of Vantage has helped us stay on track with saving for our retirement, as well as financing our lives along the way.”
“I achieved my goal for getting the best rate available on auto financing at Vantage. Plus, it’s easy to set up automatic payments from my savings account. I also received an unbeatable rate for my Mastercard credit card. In turn, I’ve been able to watch my credit score climb. I’m so grateful for Vantage!”
“We have loved being a part of Vantage! We were able to finish our basement and purchase cars using Vantage loans. Our adult children also received Quest For Education scholarships for college. Thanks to their youth savings club, our children learned to save and spend wisely. We would not consider going anywhere else for our financial needs. The personal service we receive and the products and services they offer have helped our family for over 20 years!”
“Vantage has helped me to embrace the idea of online bill paying….and I love it! As soon as a bill comes in the mail, I’m able to schedule payment and feel confident that bills are paid on time. I’m confident that everything is secure, and if there’s a problem, Vantage will identify it. Plus, the website is super easy to use! Thank you, Vantage!”
“My grandmother opened an account for me around 1974. It’s been my Christmas and fun money account ever since. I deposit a small amount weekly and use that to buy things that don’t necessarily fit in the budget. With kids in private school and college, it’s how we do those extras we want to do as a family!”
“My wife has been a member for decades. Shortly before we got engaged, she added me to her account. I’d been banking with a local “big name” bank and never felt appreciated as a customer. From the first time we applied for a loan together, I could tell Vantage appreciates its members. The whole experience of a credit union versus a bank was obvious. From loan offerings to available discounts, Vantage wants to help their members save money.”
