Vantage celebrates Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition on 500th youth placement
Vantage Credit Union recently celebrated the Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition (‘FACC’) and A Place to Call Home, a special segment airing on KSDK, for the work they do in supporting foster and adoptive families in our local community.
Vantage invited a representative from FACC and one of the families touched by their work to the Sunset Hills branch in celebration. Vantage proudly presented the FACC with a $1,000 donation to support their mission and commemorated the 500th youth placement through A Place to Call Home by opening an account and funding it with $100 for a youth who found his forever family after being featured.
Vantage has been a proud supporter of the FACC and their mission for 25 years, raising donations for the organization, and began sponsoring A Place to Call Home in 2020. The program highlights some of the wonderful children in the St. Louis community seeking stable, permanent homes, and gives them an opportunity for their story to come to life on camera.
The vision of FACC is “For Every Child… A Place To Call Home.” FACC trains and coordinates volunteers, collects and distributes donations, and advocates for the security and health of children. Offering a comprehensive range of 27 recruitment and support programs in the St. Louis region, FACC finds and prepares safe and nurturing homes for children and families affected by foster care.
Through the efforts of FACC—and sponsor donations—the organization is able to share their mission and touch the hearts of families in the community. FACC has a 60% success rate in finding forever families for children featured on A Place to Call Home.
An active member of the local community for more than 65 years, Vantage delivers on our purpose of People Helping People.
