At Vantage we don’t just claim that our roots are in education, we actively seek to honor that legacy.
We recently awarded Ellen Davis $1,000 towards a new computer as part of our Dream Big contest. The contest invited members ages 11-17 to submit “a dream” which would be within reach with $1,000 towards a new laptop. Our young members submitted videos, photos, paintings, and essays articulating their dreams.
Ellen submitted her dream as a photograph of herself in a white lab coat holding a model of a skeleton. As she claimed, “This photo depicts my passion for the health field and my commitment to helping people with medicine and science.” Vantage is proud to help bring Ellen’s dream a little bit closer to a reality, especially as she heads off to college next year.
In addition to our Dream Big contest this month, Vantage just opened applications for our annual Quest For Education Scholarship which provides $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors to help them as they head off to college. Vantage also offers educators support via our annual Impact Education contest. The contest offers school employees an opportunity to receive up to $2,000 for a program, project, purchase, or even a professional development workshop which would positively impact education and the community at their school.
It’s all part of our dedication to both our members and education—it’s our legacy, and it’s one of the things makes Vantage different. Feel free to reach out to us if you have any suggestions as to how we can better partner with educators to positively impact schools and our local communities; email us with your ideas at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Congratulations Ellen Davis for winning our Dream Big contest!
Good luck in all of your dreams—we can’t wait to see you one day in your very own lab coat!
